Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2016 with a sanctioned intake of 60. The department strongly believes in working towards a goal to make the students from engineer to skilled professional. The department is a center of erudition, where we nurture young talents using new-age information and computer-intensive technologies.

The well experienced faculty members and technical staff are dedicated to deliver competent electrical engineers to the arena of the real world. Our major emphasis of imparting technical training is to encourage curiosity and innovativeness among our students and lay a foundation from where they can acquire quick learning ability and adapt to the fast changing needs of the industry.

We ensure that the graduated students are outfitted with core technical knowledge as well as professional skills necessary to face the future technological challenges. They can play a major role for the development of renewables, hybrid and electric vehicles, energy storage systems and energy efficient lights, motors, appliances for a clean energy environment.

Department Association (VIDYUTH) Activity Inauguration:

Inauguration of VIDYUTH Activities for 2021-22 was done by Dr.R.Sasikumar, Director-CAPE on 09-12-2021

Energy awareness program in association with EMC Kerala:

Energy awareness program, in association with Energy Management Centre Kerala was conducted on 09-12-2021. Many students from various departments have attended the program. Awareness sessions were delivered by Mr.Jijo Balakrishnan and Mr.Anas, Assistant Professors in EEE. Save Energy posters were disseminated in the campus by EEE students.

Expert talk on Industrial Automation:

An Expert talk on Industrial Automation has been provided for third year and final year students of EEE, by Mr.Umesh Thankappan (Senior Commissioning Engineer, Petroleum development of Oman) on 05-6-2022.

Workshop on PIC Microcontroller:

Hands-on training in PIC microcontroller programming has been organized for second and third year students of EEE during 24 and 25-6-2022.

Awareness program on importance and benefits of IEEE student membership:

An awareness talk on the importance and benefits of IEEE student membership was given by Mr.Anandu G, Ex. MD Coordinator -Travancore Hub, IEEE Education society Kerala Chapter and DEVIKA.S Ex. Secretary,IEEE Students Branch C.E Perumon. Many students from various departments have attended the program
