PTA Activities

The Parent Teacher Association of College of Engineering Muttathara is very active and is giving considerable assistance and financial support for the improvement of facilities within the institution. A large number of developmental programs have been taken up under the patronage of the PTA for the benefit of students and staff including short term workshops, training, counseling up gradation of co-curricular and extra curricular activities. It provides financial support for needy students. The objectives of the association are:

• To work for the welfare of the students and the institution.
• To maintain effective interaction between the institution and the parents and to give a touch of parental care for the students.
• To offer constructive suggestions for the smooth and successful functioning of this college.
• To promote better participation of the parents in the various programs of the college and to establish better liaison with the teachers.

The best student in each branch of engineering is awarded by the PTA. A free medical camp was conducted by PTA in association with Rotary Club of Trivandrum West during last year. Study materials were distributed to poor students in nearby schools, in association with Rotary Club.

Meetings are convened to discuss the issues connected with the smooth functioning of the college. The association provides a common forum for interaction of parents and teachers so as to improve facilities for academic excellence.

PTA Activities 2021

PTA has initiated 5 executive committee meetings to discuss and resolve various issues of the college. A total amount of Rs 200000 has been utilized till now from PTA fund for various development of college which include purchase of basic essentials, transportation of students, and student empowerment programmes. Online General Body meeting was held on 12-12-2020 and Secretary presented chartered audited statement of financial year 2019-2020 and report of that period. New Office bearers were elected.
