The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 2016, with the objective of imparting quality education in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. With rapidly evolving technology and the continuous need for innovation, the Department has always produced quality professionals, holding important positions in Information Technology and other Industries. The Department has always been on a high growth path and to keep pace with the current technological trends
It is a comprehensive course in computer applications and systems. Students will learn, understand the concept and different use of Programming languages, Networking, Program Design, Computations, Artificial Intelligence, Operating systems, Data structures and Algorithms, Database Systems, Compiler Design, Logic Design, Computer Architectures etc. from this course. This course is both practical as well as theoretical and has research projects with lab work.
Without any shadow of doubt, it is the members of the teaching community who impart progress into the students and also encourages and fine-tune the students to put in their best and excel in their fields. The faculty strives hard to provide them all round knowledge in theory, practical work and guides them in all other academic activities like seminars, projects, training, etc. Moreover, we train our students to inculcate professional behavior, leadership qualities , team spirit, skills on problem solving, critical thinking, and ethical responsibilities through the activities organized by the Department Association – CODIAC. Participation in Industrial visits, Interns, Hackathons promotes their professional ambience with an emphasis on software and hardware development.
We have got good placement and academic records and about 100% of eligible final year students, who seek a placement, are placed in reputed organizations and notch companies with good salary with the initiative of the institution prior to their course completion.

List of activities conducted in the ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-24
Debate sessions were conducted during September 2023 by XEBATE BOTS in association with CODIAC.
Pattern Training sessions(based on Python) were conducted during the month of October 2023. The event was coordinated by CODIAC. Aptitude Questions also posted in Social Media for interesting students to participate.
CLOUDSCAPE - A technical talk by CloudCampus was coordinated by CODIAC on 17th November 2023 at Seminar Hall as part of Innerve.Mr. Ravisanker K P and Mr. Vishakh Nair led the session on the topic “An Introduction to Cloud Technology”.
A one day BLOCKCHAIN WORKSHOP by BlocHUb was coordinated by CODIAC on 18th November 2023 at Seminar Hall.
BUGHUNT, The Battle of Bugs event was coordinated by CODIAC and challenged the debugging skills of CEM students. The event took place at the Programming Lab on 20th November 2023 from 11am-12.30pm.
PREMIERE PRO Video Editing Workshop was coordinated by CODIAC on 20th November 2023 at Seminar Hall from 93.0am to 11am. The event was led by Akshay P.R. of S8 CSE.
A two day Flutter Workshop was coordinated by CODIAC on 22nd and 23rd March 2024 at College Seminar Hall. Mr.Akhil P S, Co-founder and Director of FIXWARE TECHNOLOGIES LLP and Mr. Bryan Araham, Creative Assistant, TIST IEDC - full time led the workshop.
“PREPARE YOUR FUTURE” - a free alumni seminar on Career Building was coordinated by CODIAC on 26th March 2024 at Seminar Hall at 1.30pm. The session was led by Mr. Gokul Krishna V.S. (Alumnus 2018-’22), Front End Developer, Reizend LLP. The session focused on Job opportunities after B.Tech, decision making, higher exam cracking tips and what after getting a job.

association CODIAC in academic year 2022-2023
1. ONAM CELEBRATION
- We conducted the 2022 Onam celebrations “ CODEONAM ” on 3rd September 2022. There were many programs and traditional competitions such as making flower carpets, tug of war, spoon race etc were organized as part of the celebration. Our Department won the First prize for the flower carpet competition. There was Onam Sadhya for all the department students and faculties.
2. DHITHI TECHNICAL FEST
- CODIAC conducted a 4 day technical fest, DHITHI from 2nd December 2022 to 5th December 2022. The inauguration was done by the Chief guest : Sri. AJIN THOMAS,Director - Global Business,Polus Software, Technopark, TVM on December 2nd,2022 at 9.30 am at College Seminar Hall. The programs conducted on that day were : Webinar on Git, Speak Up(elocution competition), ONE PIECE, a treasure hunt competition, and Mock Drive (mock placement drive). Kick it ,a mini football matchand Flash mob was held at A block central space on the same day. Day two and three of DHITHI was for a Workshop on Electric Vehicles (IoT enabled) conducted by Acutro Technologies Pvt Ltd., Ernakulam. On day four, we conducted ZERO ERROR, a debugging competition. A closing ceremony & prize distribution were done on this last day.
3. CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS
- On 23rd of December 2023, Department of Computer science, CODIAC conducted the Christmas celebration. The program was started by a cake cutting ceremony by the Principal,HoD and other faculties followed by several games.We celebrated both the events ( Christmas Day and the New Year) together. The Central hall of B Block were decorated by balloons,crumbled papers,and a big Christmas Star,all done by the students.The event was a huge success as all the students and faculties enjoyed the event to their fullest.
4. FAREWELL PARTY
- We conducted the farewell for our 2019-23 batch students on 30th June 2023.The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with students and teachers to reminisce joyous moments.The program was held at the seminar hall. Everyone took the opportunity to get them clicked. The guests were welcomed by the stage organized with a promise for making the day memorable. The HoD and other faculties of the department participated in the program. We provided food for all those who came for the program.

CAPTURE THE FLAG, was coordinated by CODIAC on 20th November 2023 at the College Central Computing Facility. The event offered an amazing opportunity for students to explore the realm of Cyber Security.
TRIVIA TITANS, a quiz competition coordinated by CODIAC took place at Seminar Hall on 20th November 2023 from 1.30pm to 2.20pm.
Closing ceremony was highlighted with Prize Distribution to University Exam Toppers and winners of various events of INNERVE.
ONEPIECE, The Treasure Hunt Event was coordinated by CODIAC as part of INNERVE. The event took place at College Campus from 2.20pm-4.30pm.

“BECOME YOUR BEST VERSION” - A free motivational seminar was coordinated by CODIAC on 25th March 2024 at Seminar Hall. The seminar was led by Dr. Sreelal Aravindan, Director - TICOBA, Clinical Psychologist, Rtd. Doctor(Health Services). The seminar focused on Stress Management, steps to achieve deep focus and an open discussion with the students.

List of events conducted in the ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-24
Conducted Onam celebration “CHAITHRA ‘23” on 26th August 2023. Athappokkalam,Malayali Manka competitions etc were conducted as part of the celebration. Games, Ghoshayathra were also there for the event.Onam Sadya was there for the department students and faculties.
A small welcoming event was held for the CSE Juniors coordinated by CODIAC in December 2023.
Innerve - CODIAC conducted a 3 day technical fest on 17th, 18th and 20th November2023. The inauguration was done by the Chief guest : Sri. AJIN THOMAS,Director - Global Business,Polus Software, Technopark, TVM on December 2nd,2022 at 9.30 am at College Seminar Hall
A flash mob coordinated by CODIAC took place at the main block on 16-11-2023 as part of Tech Fest INNERVE.

GAMEPLEX, a gaming event for playing games inside the Campus was there as part of Innerve on November2023 as part of INNERVE at IEDC Hall.
CAPTURE THE FLAG, was coordinated by CODIAC on 20th November 2023 at the College Central Computing Facility. The event offered an amazing opportunity for students to explore the realm of Cyber Security.
TRIVIA TITANS, a quiz competition coordinated by CODIAC took place at Seminar Hall on 20th November 2023 from 1.30pm to 2.20pm.
Closing ceremony was highlighted with Prize Distribution to University Exam Toppers and winners of various events of INNERVE.
ONEPIECE, The Treasure Hunt Event was coordinated by CODIAC as part of INNERVE. The event took place at College Campus from 2.20pm-4.30pm.
On 23rd of December 2023, Department of Computer science, CODIAC conducted the Christmas celebration and New Year celebrations together. The program included a cake cutting ceremony by the Principal,HoD and other faculties followed by several games.
“BECOME YOUR BEST VERSION” - A free motivational seminar was coordinated by CODIAC on 25th March 2024 at Seminar Hall. The seminar was led by Dr. Sreelal Aravindan, Director - TICOBA, Clinical Psychologist, Rtd. Doctor(Health Services). The seminar focused on Stress Management, steps to achieve deep focus and an open discussion with the students.
