Visit to SCTIMST
The final year students of the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department recently visited the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) in Poojapura. There, they explored the dynamic world of the biomedical industry, gaining insights into cutting-edge technologies and innovations. The students had the opportunity to tour various laboratories, including the instrumentation laboratory, witnessing the development of biomedical devices firsthand. Engaging with experts at SCTIMST, they learned about the diverse range of products crafted within the institute, from medical devices to diagnostic tools. This immersive experience sparked a newfound enthusiasm among the students, inspiring them to consider the intersection of electronics and healthcare in their future careers.
The Electronics & Communication Engineering Department is a part of the institute since its inception, with an intake of 60 students. We are fortunate to be center of choice for most of the stakeholders in this region.
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has consistently maintained an exemplary academic record. The greatest asset of the department is its highly motivated and learned faculty. The Department has grown over the years with qualified teaching faculty members who are passionate to impart quality education.
The UG programme in the Department aims at producing engineers with sound knowledge in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a strong background in almost all the fields of Electronics and Communication. We ensure that students are abreast with latest technologies through our regular teaching learning process and additional enrichment programs. Students are provided the entire required platform for their overall development in sports, cultural, curricular, technical & regular academics.
The graduates of the Electronics & Communication stream have been selected by some of the world’s leading corporations & as well as by most of the leading Indian counter parts. We hope that we will continue to deliver our best to serve the society and mankind.
